I Sincerely Apologize to the NPC for Being Careless and Irresponsible by John Quinlan

I Sincerely Apologize to the NPC for Being Careless and Irresponsible

I sincerely apologize to the entire NPC for being careless and irresponsible at the Brooklyn Grand Prix this past Saturday October 5th. I was in the Men's Physique Open and Master's class and I had stepped outside the back of the venue for a few moments with many of the other competitors and I didn't hear my number called when the Master's Physique was starting. I had just finished talking with bodybuilder Quesi Beaton when one of the guys came out and said one of the physique classes was starting. Careless because I just assumed the open physique was before the masters and I was class B so I just assumed class A was the one out there and I would come in then. Lesson learned to NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING! I always check the list on the wall and know the correct order, careless because I trained hard for 12 weeks, careless because I have too much respect for the NPC, irresponsible because I know better and just plain stupid because so many people believed in me and I let them down because of my own negligence. When I finally did make it to the stage my lineup of guys in the Master’s Physique were already out there. I got out there so late and I never make mistakes like that. I did apologize to a few members of the judging panel during the show. I have to much respect for the NPC to make any excuses.  I apologize to the NPC coordinators, the judges and the entire organization for my lack of professionalism. I am truly sorry. There will be more shows in the future and I appreciate Amy Puglise for being so nice when I contacted her about it. You are right when you asked me from this point on will I ever make this mistake again. Lesson learned it will never happen again.

My True Opinion of the NPC & Special Thanks to Larry Cuzzi by John Quinlan

In one week I will be competing at the NPC Brooklyn Grand Prix in the Men’s Physique Open & Master’s class on October 5th. A friend of mine sent me this today and I thought it was a special post so I thought I would share it with you. I wrote this on July 12, 2012 and it was titled, ‘Great People & Great Shows…..My True Opinion About The NPC by John Quinlan.’ It will be an honor for me to be back on the NPC stage again! So here is what I wrote,

“I know I have said these same things I am about to write at this moment before and in a previous post but I just wanted to thank the NPC for making the 2012 Team Universe Weekend 2 great shows one more time. Oh, and before I forget, I would like to personally thank David Lees who competed at the Team Universe Men’s Physique. I was hanging out with Dave and a few of his friends who run a forum on Muscular Development before we hit the stage for the finals. David Lees is a true professional with a great attitude, very humble and respectful. Strong with great musculature….a great physique! Congrats Dave to you and your wife on expecting your baby girl in October. May God watch over you and your family always. I really enjoyed competing in the Men's Physique Class B this past weekend in Teaneck, New Jersey, I gave it my best and I have much respect for everybody involved. All the classes had some of the best physique's....these guys are all warriors and I have 100% respect for each and every one of my fellow competitors. I had the honor of meeting Bev Francis at the Team Universe as well, what a very nice lady! Her husband Steve Weinberger was a very classy guy as well, I thank both of them for being so kind to me. I also spoke briefly with Jose Raymond, great guy. The true definition of what a champion bodybuilder should look like. It was funny because as kids I grew up in Melrose, Massachusetts and Jose was in the next town over in Wakefield. I told Jose I remembered playing baseball against him in an all-star game when we were 14 years old and he thought it was funny when I told him that when the announcer said……”now batting, Jose Raymond”….Jose was pinch hitting, my entire team on the bench had the look of fear, ha ha ha! Even the toughest guys on my team looked scared. Yeah, Jose was even gifted as an athlete at this age. I have never seen a kid with genetics that impressive, I knew he was destined for greatness and I was right. Best of luck at the Olympia Jose! And of course I have to give credit where credit is due to the Biggest Dog, Big Mike Feulner. Mike, you will always be the man and thanks for the kind words you had for me. I respect everything you do my friend! Great job at these shows, I would do them until I was 100 years old if I could. For all the love & respect I have for this industry and all the people in it. The thrill of competing knowing you would be there running the show would keep me coming back bro. Thanks Again!”

I just wanted to thank my friend Larry Cuzzi for everything he has done for me. Thanks for the advice on everything when I need it and inspiring me with your hard work ethic. It will be an honor again to go with you to my NPC show in Brooklyn on October 5th, the Brooklyn Grand Prix Men's Physique Open & Master's class. Thanks man for making the journey with me as you motivate me more than anybody....you take me right back to the old school days of us training in World Gym, Lynnfield. Miss that time and all the great people that went there. Hey man, as one of my best friends.....I promise you this, I will try my best for you in this show. I have worked hard and I just wanted say how appreciative I am.

- God Bless
