John Quinlan - Training Update & Personal Thank You

I just wanted to say thank you to all those who have been checking up on me during my training. I am really taken back so often at all the good people out there who care about me. This film quality isn’t the greatest but it was taken after a morning workout when the thought was fresh in my mind.

God Bless,

John

John Quinlan Early Morning Weigh-In on August 21, 2013

I have been dieting & training for just 3 weeks now and had an early morning weigh-in on an empty stomach. I very rarely weigh myself as I try and go by the mirror but every now and then I think it is a good thing to measure my overall progress. I came in at today at 196lbs. and at 5’9” I feel like I am doing alright considering I have only been going steady for the past three weeks. I am training right now for the NPC Brooklyn Grand Prix Physique taking place October 5th and a big photo shoot on October 11th in Philadelphia with Jillian Bullock for her new fitness book. I will keep everybody posted. Thanks so much for all the support.

100lb. Incline Dumbbell Presses with Nick Ward by John Quinlan

I have been dieting & training for the past few weeks. I had an early morning weigh-in on an empty stomach right before this video was filmed. I was 188lbs. and at 5’9” and I feel fairly comfortable thus far along. I would like to personally thank Nick Ward for all his help, this guy is as strong as anybody I have ever seen and he is always there for me as one of the greatest spotters on Earth. I pressed the 100lb. dumbbells for 8 reps and was happy with that considering my strict diet and cardio regimen over the past couple of months. This video was filmed on March 14, 2013. Thanks everybody for all the love and support.

I Feel Born Again by John Quinlan

Last year, those who know me know that I should never have competed. I tore my right hamstring almost completely off the bone at 4 weeks before the show and was unable to train virtually at all from that point on. No cardio and exercise but I still had the desire for the love of the sport to compete. This year has been different, I am healthy and injury free and have a great attitude. I do feel a bit tighter and ready for sure. I thank God for getting me back on track and watching over me. Below (top) is a photo from last year on stage and right below that is a photo from this year. I want to thank everybody for all the love and support during my training this year, love all you guys (and girls).

1 Week Out From 1st Show of 2012 by John Quinlan

I am 1 week out from my first show of 2012. Below is a video clip of my thoughts and physique progress. Thanks to the Big Dog for adding this to YouTube about 5 minutes ago. The quality of this film isn't that good as he told me it lacks clarity. Oh well, just there for progress so it's all good. Thanks everybody so much for all the love & support!

Hello my friends,

A few updates to be posted right now. This morning some video was filmed of me in the gym at 2 weeks out until my first show right after my training session. I feel ok, hanging in there :) I just briefly talk about how I feel at this point right now.

I also want to thank to amazing women, Cassandra Carr and Claudia Reid. They have both been so supportive of me and they are so very much appreciated. Love you both! Here are a few links with me published by them today:

Training Updates & My Friend Peter Karalekas by John Quinlan

Few quick updates today, had a couple of video updates in the gym this morning. training is going good with less than 3 weeks until my first contest of 2012. The workout video clip link posted below has film quality that isn't that good, so you really can't see any vascularity, cuts or anything but oh well just measuring my progress is the only real point of it. Gonna stay focused and just do the best I can my friends :)

I also wanted to thank my friend Peter Karalekas who I just got back in touch with after a 2 year absence. Great to talk with him again!

God Bless

Sports Model Photographs in March 2012 From Sandra Kimball by John Quinlan

Sandra Kimball took some sports model themed photographs of me this past March outside in natural sunlight. Really just progress shots as I have a few shows coming up but I think Sandra did a great job. She is an amazing photographer and super nice person. Thanks Sandra!

YouTube Video Posted Today by The Big Dog by John Quinlan

Today the Big Dog posted an updated video of me to YouTube. I briefly discuss my feelings about my diet, training and injury status thus far with less than 5 weeks until my first show of 2012. I feel pretty good thus far, I honestly feel I am making a solid effort to improve and keeping focused on taking one day at a time has really helped me stay consistent.

Much Love & God Bless
